Severalterms have been used to describe these diseases, suchas axonopathy, leukomyelopathy, axonal degeneration, and neuroaxonal degeneration. 1–6 The majority of re-ported cases were breed-specific with peculiar clinical andpathological features seen in each breed. The associationof central axonopathy and motor neuronal degenerationhas not been reported.
